Established on February 14, 2007, Guangxi Beibu Gulf International Port Group Co., Ltd. (the “Group”) is a large wholly state-owned enterprise directly under the Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
In December 2009, the Ministry of Transport of China announced the integration of Fangcheng Port, Qinzhou Port and Beihai Port, which constitute the Beibu Gulf Port. The integration was made possible by the Group who was the first in China to consolidate assets across different administrative regions.
In 2014, Beihai Port Co., Ltd., a listed company, was renamed Beibu Gulf Port Co., Ltd. The main assets of three ports such as terminals and berths were listed together, making it possible for the Beibu Gulf Port to be planned, developed and managed in an integrated way.
